Now, you       may think that's a load but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Whiskeytown Lake. If you came to camp Dry Creek Campground is a tremendous place to do that; get your heart beating on the fine whitewater of Clear Creek Sacramento Tributary. This lake is so wonderful. A fine place for whitewater paddling near Whiskeytown Lake is Brandy Creek; the views at Whiskeytown National Recreation Area will blow your mind. There's so much to do here at Whiskeytown                  Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Brandy Creek Campground is a splendid place for that; a beautiful lake like Spring Creek Reservoir is a tremendous place to explore. For the period of the summer months highs here at Whiskeytown Lake reach the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's while Whiskeytown Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. Whiskeytown Dam is a site that is next to Whiskeytown Lake; after a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Redding is a pleasant location to spend a night or two.
