Why not camp at Dry Creek Campground if you're here at Whiskeytown Lake; Whiskeytown Dam has magnificent water scenery. From a precipitation point of view Whiskeytown Lake is a pretty common place; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is July. Camping is available at Brandy Creek Campground, and a glorious nearby hotel is Rodeway Inn Redding. This lake is so wonderful. Don't       miss out on a journey to Whiskeytown National Recreation Area if you're here at Whiskeytown Lake, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Brandy Creek. If you're popping by Whiskeytown Lake from Redding, you won't be the only one, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Dry Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Brandy Creek is next to Whiskeytown Lake and is always a joy to stop at, and                  Clear Creek Sacramento Tributary is a great whitewater spot close by. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs mostly are in the 90's at Whiskeytown Lake. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. All through the winter highs are frequently in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Whiskeytown Lake. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Whiskeytown Lake is great!
