Go to West Street Basin if you want to go to a nice lake. West Street Basin gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls during February, and July is when it's the driest. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Haster Retarding Basin; while you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana. All through the warmest time of the year highs here at West Street Basin reach the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. Mountains National Recreation Area is a very tremendous site to go to.
Homewood Suites Anaheim-Main Gate Area is a nice location to get some rest. Lakes? Sure, Raymond Retarding Basin is around here.

Hi, please take a look at the attached photo. I took it today in La Jolla Canyon, at the water fall (dry now). Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support. It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above. Someone should take a closer look at that rock. In heavy rain it could come down. It looks unstable.... |
