Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. You can run the rapids of Fordyce Creek in the vicinity of Weil Lake, and a pleasant close by hotel is Deer Creek Inn. At Weil Lake throughout the summer highs are in the 80's, and the nighttime is a bit cooler of course, usually in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime this       place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Weil Lake are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Royal Gorge and strap some skis to your feet; why not camp at Canyon Creek Campground while you're here at Weil Lake. Weil Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Weil Lake is excellent! If you came for an overnight stay Silver Tip Campground is a splendid spot to camp, and from                  Weil Lake you acquire a tremendous panorama of Black Buttes. While you're here at Weil Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by Truckee-Grass Valley, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Grouse Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful lake like French Lake close to Weil Lake is a great location to go to, and Five Lakes Basin is right here at Weil Lake. There is a great hiking trail close to Weil Lake called the Crooked Lakes Trail, and do stop at Echo Lake, it's a picturesque lake. If you need a site to stay Chalet View Lodge is a great choice, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Glacier Lakes Trail. All the outdoors cool stuff in the vicinity of Weil Lake will keep you coming back many times. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
