A fine close by hotel is Americas Best Value Inn Yosemite Westgate Lodge, and fine skiing awaits you at Dodge Ridge. So many fun things in the Central Sierra Nevada, just incredible. Stay the night at Herring Creek Campground, and Herring Creek Reservoir is a great lake nearby. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area close to Waterhouse Lake has to       offer. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stanislaus River - Middle Fork, and Bear Valley has fine slopes and a friendly staff. Cherry Creek - West Fork has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by, and at Waterhouse Lake you can spot Pinecrest Peak. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Emigrant Trail, and lakes are such serene places, why not pop by Herring Creek                  Reservoir. The high level of rain makes Waterhouse Lake a rather wet location; January is the wettest month with most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you're visiting Waterhouse Lake from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge, you won't be the only one. There's so much to do here at Waterhouse Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mill Campground is a good spot for that. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. A good place like Bluff Meadow here at Waterhouse Lake is too tremendous to miss, and Herring Creek Dam is a gorgeous place, unquestionably worth visiting. Summertime highs at Waterhouse Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 60's while night lows are typically in the 40's.
