Idlewild Campground is a magnificent campground nearby, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Waterdog Lake; Garden Gulch Trail is a great local trail. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Waterdog Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Waterdog Lake sink into the 20's. Waterdog Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise.

| | Not far from Waterdog Lake, you'll stumble on Lower Russian Lake which is a beautiful lake, and there's perfect hiking along the Tanners Peak Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Russian Peak can be made out from Waterdog Lake, and perfect hiking is available along the Deacon Lee Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Klamath Mountains. If you need a place to stay Baymont Inn & Suites Yreka is a nice choice. All year is a brilliant time | |

in the Klamath Mountains if you adore the outdoors. Lakes? Sure, Russian Lake is in close proximity; a wonderful place for whitewater paddling is Salmon River. Waterdog Lake is a good site of normal precipitation; the wettest
month of the year is regularly December, that's the one that rains the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you came for an overnight stay Trail Creek Campground is a fine site to camp, and Salmon River - South Fork is a brilliant whitewater spot nearby. Waterdog Lake is located in the Klamath Mountains.
