Why not camp at Shivshaneen Co if you're here at Water Dog Lakes, and you can go for a hike on the Salmon Summit Recreation Trail. Man, is there a lot of fun stuff to do in the Coast Ranges.       During your tour to Water Dog Lakes you'll meet some people from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna for sure, and you can run the rapids of Salmon River. Throughout the warm months at Water Dog Lakes highs are usually in the 90's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's.
