Wasco Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Z Lake, and a pleasant site to explore nearby is Lundy Pass. Very delightful scenery and fine skiing is what you get at June Mountain. During the warm days of summer highs here at Wasco Lake get into the 80's with nighttime lows in the 30's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and nighttime

| | lows at Wasco Lake during the wintertime usually sink into the 0's. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Lakes? Sure, Steelhead Lake is close by, and whitewater paddling is splendid on Tenaya Creek. Having a splendid time at Wasco Lake is painless. Good hiking is available along the Gaylor Lakes Trail. There's so much to do here at Wasco Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sawmill Campground is a great place for that. | |

The John Muir Trail - section 2 offers hiking at its best, and you can stay the night at Saddlebag Campground. So much fun stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not enough time. Dry warm beds await you at Yosemite Gateway Motel,
and if you want to stop at some interesting stuff, stop at Conness Glacier. This lake is so wonderful. The view of picturesque Mount Conness near Wasco Lake is nice; get soaked paddling on Tuolumne River. If you need a place to
stay Heidelberg Inn is a magnificent choice, and there's good hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12. Not much rainfall falls here at Wasco Lake; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and October on the other hand is the driest.
