This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Warm Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is generally January, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is July. Man, is there lots of fun stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Warm Lake; Cherry Point Trail is a nice local trail,       and hey, Gotta ski right? Royal Gorge is a great site to do that. Camping is available at Sterling Lake Campground, and naturally, this is a fine neighborhood for people who like lakes, Fisher Lake is a lake nearby. Camping at Cold Springs Campground is always a pleasant experience. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun things just keep reading. Warm Lake is right by the Salmon Lake Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's                  for you then, we recommend Fordyce Creek. This lake is so wonderful. One of the governing marks of the surroundings of Warm Lake is Cherry Point; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by High Loch Leven Lake. The Loch Leven Trail offers hiking at its best, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Yuba River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Soda Springs are so inviting noone can resist; Squaw Valley Lodge is a pleasant site to get some rest. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too magnificent to be true. A perfect nearby hotel is Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn, and this is a popular site for folks from Truckee-Grass Valley. For the duration of the summertime at Warm Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 40's.
