High temperatures at Ward Lake throughout the summer months are in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and night lows at Ward Lake all through the wintertime mostly sink into the 20's. While you're here at Ward Lake you can take a hike along the Sherwin Lakes Trail, and a day on the slopes of Mammoth Mountain is just what you need. If you like the outdoors       you'll like it here in the Central Sierra Nevada. There's so much to do here at Ward Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Ward Lake Campground is a delightful location for that, and Bear Creek is near Ward Lake and is always a pleasure to stop at. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot.
