This lake is one of the great places here in the Coast Ranges. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Coast Ranges is peerless! If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tomki Creek, and Walker Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Golden Rule RV Park is a good site to camp nearby. Stay the night at Willits Koa Kampground, and the peak of Impassable       Rocks can be made out from Walker Lake. Walker Lake is a good spot of common rain; January is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is July. Walker Lake is a spot with many visitors from Ukiah; dry warm beds await you at Baechtel Creek Inn and Spa. And if that's not enough, there's heaps more to do in the vicinity of Walker Lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western Willits Inn is a good place to spend a night                  or two; a glorious place for whitewater paddling is Outlet Creek. During the long summer days at Walker Lake temperatures are usually in the 60's, and the night is rather colder of course, mostly in the 40's.
