All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Vineyard Lake are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Gill Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth taking a look at, and don't leave Vineyard Lake without first going for a hike along the Cadd Fire Trail. The Coast       Ranges scenery is always beautiful. All the water falling down from the sky makes Vineyard Lake a wet site; January is the wettest month with most rain; July is the month with the least moisture. Nearby lakes? Sure, Merlo Lake is in the vicinity of Vineyard Lake, and a great close by hotel is Hope Merrill & Hope Bosworth Bed and Breakfast Inns. All year is a glorious time in the Coast Ranges if you have a thing about the outdoors. At Vineyard Lake you always                  meet someone from Clearlake; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Big Sulphur Creek. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Coast Ranges. Dutcher Creek RV Park and Campground is a splendid local campground, and Old Crocker Inn is a good spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Vineyard Lake. Why not camp at Koa Cloverdale Camping Resort since you're here at Vineyard Lake, and you're almost certainly interested in lakes, Lytton Lake is one of those nearby.
