Vic Trace Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Vic Trace Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Santa Ynez Mountains. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Vic Trace Reservoir. Here at Vic Trace Reservoir you'll almost certainly meet some people from Santa Barbara-Santa Maria-Goleta, and if you wish for a little side journey, try Honda Valley. This lake is so wonderful.

Sheffield Reservoir is in close proximity, and Point Castillo is in the neighborhood and always nice to stop by. along the Jesusita Trail. This lake is so wonderful. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Santa Ynez Mountains. The Arroyo Burro Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you need a place to stay Upham Victorian Hotel
& Garden Cottages is a perfect choice. Vic Trace Reservoir is next to Santa Barbara Harbor which is a wonderful spot certainly worth checking out; possibly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Lauro Canyon Reservoir is just
a very short distance away. All the outdoors cool things in the Santa Ynez Mountains will keep you coming back again and again. If you came to camp Refugio State Beach is a delightful site to do that. There's so much to do here at
Vic Trace Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Carpinteria State Beach is a good site for that. Vic Trace Reservoir is a location that is reasonably dried out ordinarily; February is when you get the most rain here; the
driest month of the year is July. Summertime at Vic Trace Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 90's, and the night is a little cooler of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 60's, and nighttime
lows through the wintertime for Vic Trace Reservoir tend to be in the 30's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Santa Ynez Mountains. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Veronica Springs, and a journey to West Beach is always a fine idea.

Even on high-resolution aerial photography, you can find no evidence that there was ever a trail here, except in the lowest portion, which is on private land, completely and irretrievably closed to entry. The chaparral in this vicinity is old, hard, and impenetrable to anything larger than a rabbit. Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support. It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above. Someone should take a closer look at that rock. In heavy rain it could come down. It looks unstable.... |
