lots of people from Santa Barbara-Santa Maria-Goleta come here. Any time is a great time at Vic Trace Reservoir if you go for the outdoors. The top of Dibblee Hill is easily distinguished from Vic Trace Reservoir; you can hit
the beach if you want, West Beach is practically right here. You absolutely must like the Santa Ynez Mountains. The Arroyo Burro Trail is a pleasant hiking trail near Vic Trace Reservoir, and do set aside some time for La Mesa since
you're here at Vic Trace Reservoir. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Santa Ynez Mountains. Arroyo Burro flows through this vicinity, and you can stay the night at Carpinteria State Beach.

Even on high-resolution aerial photography, you can find no evidence that there was ever a trail here, except in the lowest portion, which is on private land, completely and irretrievably closed to entry. The chaparral in this vicinity is old, hard, and impenetrable to anything larger than a rabbit. Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support. It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above. Someone should take a closer look at that rock.
