     Vic Trace Reservoir is located in the Santa Ynez Mountains. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Vic Trace Reservoir. If the weather is delightful here at Vic Trace Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Jesusita Trail, and Upham Victorian Hotel & Garden Cottages is a pleasant site to get some rest. High temperatures at Vic Trace Reservoir during the warm months are in the 90's with overnight lows in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime  
   highs are commonly in the 60's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Vic Trace Reservoir.
After a long day outdoors Inn by the Harbor is a perfect spot to spend a night or two, and on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Tunnel Trail. There's so much to do here at Vic Trace Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Refugio State Beach is a wonderful place for that, and nearby you stumble on Point Castillo. This lake is so wonderful.

A lake close by is Lauro Canyon Reservoir, and an afternoon playing golf at Santa Barbara Golf Club is always a diversion. These mountains rock, just explore all the enjoyable things to do in the Santa Ynez Mountains. Santa Barbara Harbor is a place that is in the vicinity of Vic Trace Reservoir; lots of people from Santa Barbara-Santa Maria-Goleta come here.
Any time is a great time at Vic Trace Reservoir if you go for the outdoors. The top of Dibblee Hill is easily distinguished from Vic Trace Reservoir; you can hit the beach if you want, West Beach is practically right here. You absolutely must like the Santa Ynez Mountains. The Arroyo Burro Trail is a pleasant hiking trail near Vic Trace Reservoir, and do set aside some time for La Mesa since you're here at Vic Trace Reservoir. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Santa Ynez Mountains. Arroyo Burro flows through this vicinity, and you can stay the night at Carpinteria State Beach.
Leadbetter Beach is in the vicinity of Vic Trace Reservoir if you're in a beach type of mood It's always great to explore Veronica Springs. At Vic Trace Reservoir you don’t see much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is February, and July meanwhile is the driest month.

This trail is gone without a trace, and is only visible on topographic maps dating from before the 1970s.  Even on high-resolution aerial photography, you can find no evidence that there was ever a trail here, except in the lowest portion, which is on private land, completely and irretrievably closed to entry.  The chaparral in this vicinity is old, hard, and impenetrable to anything larger than a rabbit.  I hiked the lower portion last in 1974, and it was overgrown then; I had to trespass to get there. ...(?)The trail actually no longer exists.(?)...

Hi, please take a look at the attached photo.  I took it today in La Jolla Canyon, at the water fall (dry now).  Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support.  It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above.  Someone should take a closer look at that rock.  In heavy rain it could come down.  It looks unstable....
