     So much exciting stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada, just striking. The skiing at June Mountain is good, and if you came to camp McGee Creek RV Park and Campground is a great location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Snowcreek Golf Course is a great golf course nearby, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Mammoth Rock Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada. A day on the slopes of Mammoth Mountain is just  
   what you need, and Rodeway Inn Sierra Nevada is a splendid place to get some rest.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Visiting Devils Postpile National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and lakes are such calm spots, why not visit Bloody Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff near Valentine Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend
 
               San Joaquin River - South Fork. There's so much to do here at Valentine Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Cold Water Campground is a brilliant spot for that.
Through the summer months highs here at Valentine Lake reach the 70's, and the overnight is a little chillier of course, typically in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Valentine Lake are in the 20's. There are some great whitewater spots on Mono Creek, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Valentine Lake; Sherwin Lakes Trail is a glorious local trail. Take a hike on the John Muir Trail - section 2.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Mammoth Creek Inn is a great choice, and there are other locations here than Valentine Lake, for example Lost Lake. It is very arid here at Valentine Lake typically; the wettest month of the year is usually January, that's the one that rains the most, and June meanwhile is the driest month.
