Vail Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Kolb Creek flows through this vicinity, and in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Santa Margarita River.; the month with most of the rain is February while June is regularly the driest month. A short visit to Dripping Springs is always worthwhile. There's so much to do here at Vail Lake that you need to camp

High temperatures at Vail Lake all through the summer months are in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 60's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Vail Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Mission Trail is always a great adventure.
