A visit to Upper Wright Lake is always a good idea. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The Klamath Mountains is excellent! There's good hiking along the Garden Gulch Trail, and do set aside some time for Back Meadows if you're here at Upper Wright Lake. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs regularly are in the 90's at Upper Wright Lake while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 40's while

| | the cold winter nights at Upper Wright Lake are in the 30's. Upper Wright Lake is one of the lakes here in the Klamath Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Lower Wright Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Baymont Inn Yreka. You could also stop by Long High Lake while you're here at Upper Wright Lake; it's nearby, and don't leave Upper Wright Lake without first going for a hike along the Tanners Peak Trail. Just getting warmed up. At Upper Wright Lake you can catch a sight of Boulder Peak, and the peaks of the Marble Mountains dominate the scenery of this area. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Upper
Wright Lake; Deacon Lee Trail is a fine local trail, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Back Meadows Creek. Indian Scotty Campground is a brilliant local campground, and you can run the rapids of Scott River. Upper
Wright Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; December is the wettest month with most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Klamath Mountains.
A brilliant place for whitewater paddling near Upper Wright Lake is Salmon River; Spring Flat Campground is a good campground nearby.
