You can run the rapids of Yuba River - North Fork right next door to Upper Salmon Lake, and Royal Gorge is a very popular ski area around here. Upper Salmon Lake is a pleasant site to visit for more than one day, Diablo Campground is a pleasant site to camp nearby. An average amount of rainfall falls at Upper Salmon Lake; the month of January is the wettest with most       of the rain, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Chalet View Lodge, and don't leave Upper Salmon Lake without first going for a hike along the Deer Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. An interesting thing to take a look at in the vicinity of Upper Salmon Lake is Upper Salmon Lake Dam, and there's good hiking along the Butcher Ranch Trail. Through the summertime at Upper Salmon Lake highs are usually                  in the 90's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Upper Salmon Lake. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. So many enjoyable things to do here at Upper Salmon Lake, too perfect to be true. This is a tremendous area for folks who like lakes. Upper Salmon Lake is a lake close at hand, and you can stay the night at Berger Campground. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff truly is bountiful here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Lavezzola Creek is a brilliant whitewater spot right next door to Upper Salmon Lake. Lakes are nice; Horse Lake is a lake that's next to Upper Salmon Lake. Good hiking is available along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 15; Lusk Meadows is right here at Upper Salmon Lake.
