Not far from Upper Ruth Lake, you'll come across Olson Pond which is a lovely lake. After a long day outdoors Knights Inn Los Banos is a fine place to spend a night or two; folks from Merced love to come here. Take a side journey to Devon Drain, and McConnell State Recreation Area is a nice local campground. At Upper Ruth Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 90's;       through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Upper Ruth Lake. It is very arid here at Upper Ruth Lake typically; all through the month of January you get the most rain around here, and July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
