Going for a hike along the Horn Canyon Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and Best Western Casa Ojai is a splendid place to get some rest. Throughout the long summer days at Upper Rose Lake temperatures are generally in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 60's       while Upper Rose Lake overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 30's. Just can't get enough of Upper Rose Lake. There are plenty of folks from Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura here at Upper Rose Lake; the vista of lovely Chief Peak is nice. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Sierra Madre. Hiking along the Middle Sespe Trail is delightful fun, and since you're here you can play some golf at Clubhouse the at Soule Park Golf Course.                  Take a hike on the Rose Lion Trail, and Lower Rose Lake is a great lake close by. If you come at the right time of year, Sespe Creek offers some pleasant whitewater. There's so much to do here at Upper Rose Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Middle Lion Campground is a pleasant place for that. Around Upper Rose Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is frequently February, that's the one that rains the most; July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Howard Creek is in close proximity to Upper Rose Lake and is always a diversion to stop by. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Upper Rose Lake has to offer, you can camp at Rose Valley Campground. After a long day outdoors Hummingbird Inn is a great location to spend a night or two; Rose Valley Falls is a good local attraction. All year is a good time in the Sierra Madre if you have a thing about the outdoors. Channel Islands National Park is one of the destinations next to Upper Rose Lake that are brilliant to go to, and Rose Valley is a tremendous spot to explore. So many cool things to do at Upper Rose Lake, so little time.
