Any time is a wonderful time at Upper Kinney Lake if you adore the outdoors. Dry warm beds await you at The Meadow, and wonderful hiking is available along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of       nearby Bear Valley; you could always explore Ebbetts Pass. Having a brilliant time in the Northern Sierra Nevada is easy. Here at Upper Kinney Lake you can catch a glimpse of Ebbetts Peak, and Eagle Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting. While you're here at Upper Kinney Lake it's a perfect idea to explore Bloomfield Meadow; after a long day outdoors The Mountain Club is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. There's just no                  way someone can get bored here at Upper Kinney Lake. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you come at the right time of year, Carson River - East Fork offers some wonderful whitewater, and camping is available at Highland Lakes Campground. Upper Kinney Lake is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The snow is magnificent at Kirkwood, and a brilliant spot to camp here at Upper Kinney Lake is Bloomfield Campground. A lake nearby is Lower Kinney Lake, and there's wonderful hiking along the Burnside Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Upper Kinney Lake is not the only spot close by, Dorothy Lake is a close by lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Upper Kinney Lake; Charity Valley Trail is a great local trail. All through the warm months at Upper Kinney Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's.
