Upper Franklin Canyon Reservoir is a lake worth visiting. Going for a hike on the Gold Canyon Trail is always a perfect adventure, and camping is available at Birmingham Trailer Village. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Dagger Flat Trail, and after a long day outdoors Sportsmens Lodge is a delightful place to spend a night or two. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 60's with temperatures at Upper Franklin Canyon Reservoir dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights. Spring Trail which is a fine hiking trail. Just can't get enough of Upper Franklin Canyon Reservoir. Gotta ski! Mt Waterman is a fine site to do that, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Studio City Golf Course is nearby.

Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support. It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above. Someone should take a closer look at that rock. In heavy rain it could come down. It looks unstable.... |
