This lake is so wonderful. A glorious place for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Upper Blue Lake is Carson River - East Fork, and some of the water close by flows, like Middle Creek. High temperatures at Upper Blue Lake during the warm months are in the 70's, and the night is a tad colder of course, commonly in the 40's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's while the cold winter       nights at Upper Blue Lake are in the 10's. Upper Blue Lake gets a lot of water; the month with most of the snow is January, and the driest month is July. So many cool things in the Northern Sierra Nevada, just mind-blowing. The snow is great at Kirkwood, and lots of folks from Gardnerville Ranchos come here. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. And that's not all there is to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. You'll come across                  a stunning lake called Evergreen Lake near Upper Blue Lake, and going for a hike along the Emigrant Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Bear Valley is close to Upper Blue Lake; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Burnside Lake Trail. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Everybody loves Border Ruffian Flat, and you can stay the night at Damsite Campground. You can run the rapids of Mokelumne River - North Fork near Upper Blue Lake, and if you need a site to stay Mountain Adventure Seminars is a great choice. Upper Blue Lake really is in the middle of a picturesque outdoors paradise. Hiking along the Charity Valley Trail is good fun, and after a long day outdoors Woodfords Inn is a good spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
