     Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. You ought to definitely dedicate some time to Border Ruffian Flat if you're here at Upper Blue Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Damsite Campground is a pleasant place to camp. Now, you may imagine that's heaps but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This is a popular place for folks from Gardnerville Ranchos, and if the weather is wonderful, you obtain a great  
   vista of The Nipple from Upper Blue Lake. All through the summertime highs here at Upper Blue Lake get into the 70's with night lows in the 40's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Upper Blue Lake through the wintertime commonly dip into the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful. There's good hiking along the Emigrant Trail; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Bear Valley. There's
 
               whitewater on Mokelumne River - North Fork for all you thrill seekers, and Middle Creek Campground is a glorious local campground. Upper Blue Lake is a wet place that gets a large amount of rainfall; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and the driest month of the year is July.
Man, is there plenty of amusing stuff to do near Upper Blue Lake. You can run the rapids of Carson River - East Fork near Upper Blue Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Why not explore close by Middle Creek since you're here at Upper Blue Lake; dry warm beds await you at The Meadow. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! The Northern Sierra Nevada rocks! The Mountain Club is a brilliant place to get some rest, needless to say you could also stop at Lost Lakes since you're here; it's not far at all.
The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. A lake nearby is Twin Lake; you can go for a hike on the Charity Valley Trail. Kirkwood is a very popular ski area around here, and tremendous hiking is available along the Burnside Lake Trail.
