The beauty of Union Reservoir is reason enough to stop by. Summertime highs at Union Reservoir commonly tend to be in the 90's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites GOLD MINERS INN-GRASS VALLEY is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too great to be true.
If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yuba River, and if you came for an overnight stay Thousand Trails is a glorious place to camp. From a rain point of view Union Reservoir is a quite normal place;
the wettest month of the year is generally January, that's the one that rains the most, and July is the month with the least moisture.
