Union Reservoir

The 11 great ski lifts transport skiers up the 1,900-foot height difference at the close by ski mountain Bear Valley. Bear Valley obtains an average of 30 feet of fluffy snow per year on its 67 trails. Everybody likes Bear Valley and its 1,280 acres of skiable land. 65% of the trails are intermediate or beginner while 35% of them are advanced and expert and well suited for skilled skiers. That right there is plenty already, but it goes on; Union Reservoir
has it all. Dry warm beds await you at The Mountain Club by Kirkwood Resort, and you have to beyond doubt explore Slick Rock while you're here.

While I might like not to tell the truth (since it will only encourage more visitors) Union Lake is a truly beautiful place and is all too easy to get to. I have been visiting it almost annually since 1950 (yes, that's 61 years ago!)and took my wife there on our Honeymoon in 1967, much to some Boy Scouts consternation. - Jim Spitze
