     The warmest time of the year at Union Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 60's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Union Reservoir temperatures fall to the 10's. There's perfect hiking along the Charity Valley Trail; after a long day outdoors The Mountain Club is a perfect place to spend a night or two. You just ought to adore the Northern  
   Sierra Nevada. Not far from Union Reservoir, you'll find Mud Lake which is a pretty lake, and you simply ought to explore Slick Rock while you're here at Union Reservoir.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Union Reservoir a wet place; the month with most of the snow is January; the driest month is July. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Union Reservoir. If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling
 
               on Mokelumne River - North Fork, and don’t forget to check out Sapps Meadow since you're here at Union Reservoir. Be careful coming to Union Reservoir, you might not ever wanna return back home again.
Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Utica Reservoir, and the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13 offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Really fine skiing awaits you at Dodge Ridge; why not a little side trip to Duck Creek. Man, is there a load of amusing things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Dry warm beds await you at The Meadow, and Stanislaus River - Middle Fork has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Lake Alpine Campground, and skiing at Bear Valley is one of those things you just must do. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Why not camp at Silver Valley Campground since you're here at Union Reservoir, and delightful hiking is available along the Emigrant Trail.
