Union Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Summertime highs at Union Reservoir ordinarily tend to be in the 60's, and the night is slightly colder of course, commonly in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and night lows at Union Reservoir all through the wintertime regularly plunge into the 10's. There's so much to do here at Union Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Alpine Campground is a fine spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Bear Valley since you're here; you can run the rapids of Mokelumne River - North Fork. This lake is so wonderful. to camp Silver Valley Campground is a tremendous spot to do that. If only every location had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great earth it would be. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Union Reservoir; Pacific Crest
Trail - section 13 is a magnificent local trail, and a pretty lake like Utica Reservoir is a magnificent site to go to. Good hiking is available along the Charity Valley Trail, and Stanislaus River - Middle Fork is a fine whitewater
spot close by. Duck Creek is a fine local stream; you'll stumble on a pretty lake called Mud Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. Much precipitation falls at Union Reservoir; of all the months in
a year January is the one with the most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. Yeah, come up here to the Northern Sierra Nevada for a magnificent time. Don't leave Union Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Emigrant Trail; skiing at Dodge Ridge is one of those things you just ought to do.
