Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. The 1,900 feet of altitude difference at close by Bear Valley is one hundred percent joy. Bear Valley has 30 feet of snow annually on its 67 slopes that are served by its 11 lifts. At Bear Valley 35% of the slopes are challenging while 65% are green and blue; everyone loves Bear Valley with its 1,280 acres of ski terrain. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more cool stuff to do
here at Union Reservoir. A good spot to camp here at Union Reservoir is Union Reservoir, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Charity Valley Trail.
While I might like not to tell the truth (since it will only encourage more visitors) Union Lake is a truly beautiful place and is all too easy to get to. I have been visiting it almost annually since 1950 (yes, that's 61 years ago!)and took my wife there on our Honeymoon in 1967, much to some Boy Scouts consternation.
