Canyon Creek is a fine whitewater spot right next door to Union Hill Pond; there's magnificent hiking along the Divide Trail. Union Hill Pond is a beautiful lake in the Klamath Mountains. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Union Hill Pond is so good! The top of Rocky Point is easily distinguished from Union Hill Pond, and don't miss out on a visit to Whiskeytown National Recreation Area since you're here.       Union Hill Pond gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; December is when you get the most rain here, and July is the month with the least moisture. Camping is available at Douglas City Campground, and splendid hiking is available along the Bluford Trail. Summertime highs at Union Hill Pond generally tend to be in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the                  winter temperatures at Union Hill Pond drop into the 30's. And if that's not enough there's plenty more fun things to do in the Klamath Mountains. Just can't get enough of the Klamath Mountains. Camping at Camp Poker Bar is always a great experience, and you can run the rapids of Trinity River. This lake is so wonderful.
