This lake is located in the wonderful Klamath Mountains. All year is a splendid time in the Klamath Mountains if you go for the outdoors. Lakes are such serene sites, why not stop at Granite Lakes in the vicinity of Ukonom Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Pick-aw-Ish Campground is a good place to camp. Ukonom Lake is a wet place that gets a large amount of rainfall; during the month of December you get the       most rain around here, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant visit to Secret Meadow is a tremendous way to spend an afternoon, and there are other places here than Ukonom Lake, for example Independence Lake. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Ukonom Lake. Near Ukonom Lake you locate the Garden Gulch Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Klamath River.                  There's whitewater on Wooley Creek for all you adrenaline people, and Independence Valley is in close proximity, and is a glorious spot. This lake is so wonderful. A tour to Oregon Caves National Monument is worthwhile, and Onemile Creek is next to Ukonom Lake and is always a bliss to stop by. At Ukonom Lake throughout the summer months highs are in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Ukonom Lake are in the 30's. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Klamath Mountains.
