Twin Lakes is a place with many visitors from Truckee-Grass Valley. This lake is so wonderful. Really delightful skiing awaits you at Soda Springs, and there are some great whitewater spots on Fordyce Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Mears Lake Valley Trail; you can never get enough of the delightful skiing at Royal Gorge. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. A journey to Sixmile Valley is always fun, and you can                  have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Spaulding Lake Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Northern Sierra Nevada is so good! Twin Lakes is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Thousand Trails is a magnificent local campground. Lakes are good; Chubb Lake is a lake that's near Twin Lakes. Twin Lakes ordinarily gets much rain; January is when you get the most rain here; July is the month with the least moisture. If you need a place to stay Hoyfjellet Lodge is a splendid choice; if you come at the right time of year, Yuba River - South Fork offers some nice whitewater. For the period of the days of summer at Twin Lakes temperatures are generally in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
