A pleasant visit to Pine Flat is a glorious way to spend an afternoon, and why not camp at Bailey Canyon Campground if you're here at Turtle Lake. All year is a brilliant time in the Coast Ranges if you go for the outdoors. Best Western Humboldt House Inn is a splendid spot to get some rest. Turtle Lake is a wet place that gets a good deal of rainfall;       January is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is July. So many entertaining things to do here in the Coast Ranges, too nice to be true. There are other spots here than Turtle Lake, for example Dry Lake, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Ben Duncan Mailbox Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Eel River - North Fork is a magnificent whitewater spot close to Turtle Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Fir                  Cove Campground is a magnificent place to camp. This lake is one of the great places here in the Coast Ranges. Not far from Turtle Lake, you'll come across Lost Lake which is a picturesque lake; if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Ben Arthur Trail. A wonderful spot for whitewater paddling near Turtle Lake is Eel River, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Ruth Hayfork Trail. Through the warm days of summer at Turtle Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's.
