This lake is so wonderful. Turquoise Lake is usually a relatively arid spot; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and October meanwhile is the driest month. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do in the neighborhood of Turquoise Lake. There are some great whitewater spots on West Walker River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Turquoise Lake has to offer, you can camp at Paho Campground.

is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12, of course you could also take a look at Glenberry Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Turquoise Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Sierra Nevada. Good hiking is available along the Gaylor Lakes Trail, and Crater Crest is a peak you can spot from Turquoise Lake.
Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is bountiful here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Get yourself into a kayak

and hit Tuolumne River, and dry warm beds await you at Yosemite Gateway Motel. At Turquoise Lake through the summer highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 30's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Turquoise Lake descend into the 0's. There's great hiking along the Ten Lakes Trail, and Turquoise Lake is not the only place close by, Lake Frances is a close by lake.
There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Central Sierra Nevada. There's so much to do here at Turquoise Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Doc and Al's Robinson Creek Resort is a pleasant spot for that, and Virginia Pass is also a tremendous location to explore.
