Tunnel Reservoir is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. Yeah, come up here to the Southern Cascade Range for a fine time. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Pit River. At Tunnel Reservoir during the summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Tunnel Reservoir.

| | Go for a hike on the Nelson Flat Trail, and there's some out of the ordinary stuff to see at Pit Five Dam near Tunnel Reservoir. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Southern Cascade Range will keep you coming back over and over. Tunnel Reservoir is a pleasant location to visit for more than one day, Deep Creek Campground is a pleasant location to camp nearby, and the slopes of Mount Shasta are so inviting nobody can resist. place mostly with a lot of rainfall; during January this area sees the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Pit River; tremendous hiking is available
along the Rough and Ready Trail. Kinner Falls is a glorious local attraction; hey, Nelson Creek is a fine local stream. Be careful coming to Tunnel Reservoir, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Going for a hike on the
Pacific Crest Trail - section 17 is always a magnificent adventure; you can stay the night at Hawkins Landing Campground.
