20's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Nelson Flat Trail, and paddling on Pit River is so much fun. And if that's not enough, there's a load
more to do right next door to Tunnel Reservoir. Don't leave Tunnel Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Rough and Ready Trail, and naturally Nelson Creek flows through this area. Tunnel Reservoir is wonderful enough
to spend more than a day at, Deep Creek Campground is a wonderful local campground; at Pit Five Dam right next door to Tunnel Reservoir there are some out of the ordinary things to see. Man, is there a load of enjoyable stuff to do
in the Southern Cascade Range. A spree to Kinner Falls will fill your spirit with glorious feelings, and glide down the rapids of Pit River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Mount Shasta.

Fowlers Campground
 | 15 miles away This campground is definitely one that I have thoroughly enjoyed staying. While it was not anything special or out of the ordinary, the staff was friendly and accomodating and the atmosphere was very family friendly. I would suggest Fowlers to any family wanting just a nice vacation together, but if you are a camping enthusiast and are used to having high standards for your camping experience, you may want to search around a bit more before you decide to stay at Fowlers as it may be a bit more mediocre than what you are used to camping at. ... |
