     This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the perfect whitewater of Mono Creek, and if you came for an overnight stay Minaret Falls Campground is a magnificent location to camp. The annual precipitation here at Trinity Lakes is about average; through January this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is June. This lake is so wonderful. Heidelberg Inn is a brilliant place to get some rest, and the Sherwin Lakes Trail offers hiking  
   at its best.
But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Don't leave Trinity Lakes without first paying a visit to Minaret Falls, and don't leave Trinity Lakes without first going for a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 2. Having a glorious time in the Central Sierra Nevada is easy. A quick visit to Shadow Creek close to Trinity Lakes is a splendid idea, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close
 
               by Mammoth Mountain. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! Trinity Lakes rules! Hit the slopes at June Mountain nearby; lakes are such calm places, why not stop at Castle Lake.
Vivian lake is a pleasant lake close to Trinity Lakes, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend San Joaquin River - Middle Fork. A tremendous nearby hotel is Mammoth Mountain Inn, and a pleasant spree to Agnew Meadows is a glorious way to spend an afternoon. Reds Meadow Campground is a tremendous local campground, and there's pleasant hiking along the Mammoth Rock Trail.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada. All the outdoors enjoyable things right next door to Trinity Lakes will keep you coming back repeatedly. Summertime highs at Trinity Lakes mostly tend to be in the 90's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Trinity Lakes.
