     Toole Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; all through January this area sees the most rain; July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Russian River, and while you're here, you could also visit beautiful Dugans Pond. So many exciting things in the Coast Ranges, just inspiring. Camping is available at Thousand Trails, and nothing beats kicking back at Jenner Beach.
You just can't envision the
 
   amount of outdoors cool things the area in close proximity to Toole Pond has to offer. Government Spring is a perfect local attraction, and dry warm beds await you at Dawn Ranch. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Coast Ranges. Village Inn And Restaurant is a great site to get some rest; if you're looking for a beach nearby we recommend Goat Rock Beach. A tour to The Racetrack revives the soul, and while you're here at Toole Pond, checking  
               out Two Rock is a must.
Summer brings highs in the 60's to Toole Pond. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Toole Pond are in the 40's. The Tomales Point Trail offers hiking at its best; at Toole Pond you can observe Little Black Mountain. And that's not all you can do here at Toole Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. Do stop at Moonshine Pond near Toole Pond, it's a delightful lake; there's great hiking along the Monte Rio Fire Trail. Getting to Big Oat Creek from Toole Pond is trouble-free, and camping at Rivers End is always a splendid experience. The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful.

You don't mention the beautiful wine country roads to either drive through or ride bikes on, or Lake Sonoma's Yorty Creek, which is a nearby family swimming hole. You can kayak, swim, picnic and hike there. You can also paddle boat in to a few campgrounds.

There's also the fish hatchery near the dam on the lake, as well as some more scenic hiking and biking trails.
