Toad Lake is located in the Southern Cascade Range. Camping is available at Harris Spring Campground, and a visit to Big Sand Flat rejuvenates the soul. This lake is so wonderful. Have a good hiking adventure along the Rough and Ready Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby White Deer Lake. At Toad Lake all through the summertime months highs are in the 80's while night lows       are frequently in the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Toad Lake are in the 10's. Hiking along the Coal Mine Trail is tremendous fun; not far from Toad Lake you'll find Bear Lake which is a charming lake. Not much rainfall falls here at Toad Lake; December is the month that gets the most snow; the driest month of the year is July. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Southern Cascade                  Range. So much amusing stuff to do in the Southern Cascade Range, not enough time. A wonderful close by hotel is Golden Eagle Motel, and why not camp at Circle Seven Guest Ranch while you're here at Toad Lake. All the outdoors cool stuff in close proximity to Toad Lake will keep you coming back again and again.
