A pleasant journey to Dana Meadows is a tremendous way to spend an afternoon, needless to say you could also check out Fantail Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is lovely, you obtain a splendid panorama of Gaylor Peak from Tioga Lake, and you can stay the night at Tioga Campground. So many cool things in the Central Sierra Nevada, just       mind-blowing. Take a hike on the John Muir Trail - section 2. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Tioga Lake has to offer, you can camp at Junction Campground. Be careful coming to Tioga Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. Hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12 is good fun, and Tioga Lake is not the only place close by, Gardisky Lake is a close by lake. Summertime at Tioga Lake comes with high temperatures in the                  80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 30's. During the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Tioga Lake. Tioga Lake gets very little precipitation; most of the snow falls through January, and the driest month is October. And that's not all you can do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Glacier Canyon is a tremendous place to take a look at nearby, and Mine Creek is close to Tioga Lake and is always a bliss to explore. Tioga Lake is right by the Gaylor Lakes Trail; if you need a site to stay Heidelberg Inn is a good choice. Tioga Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Sierra Nevada. Dry warm beds await you at Yosemite Gateway Motel. This lake is so wonderful.
