Indian Beach is next to Thurston Lake if you're in a beach type of mood, and Dry Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Thurston Lake gets a common amount of annual rain; during January this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! The Klamath Mountains is unbeatable! Hiking along the Middle       Creek Flat Trail is brilliant fun. There's whitewater on Little Sulphur Creek for all you thrill seekers; the peak of Roundtop Mountain can be distinguished from Thurston Lake. Thurston Lake truly is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise. Thurston Lake is right by the Bucknell Trail, and since you're here, you could also stop by stunning Pinkeye Lake. Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more cool things to do here in the Klamath Mountains.                  If you need a place to stay Travelodge Clearlake is a delightful choice, and why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Adams Springs Golf Course. Baylis Point is close at hand and always splendid to explore; obviously Thurston Creek flows through this region. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more cool things to do in the Klamath Mountains. A pleasant journey to Manning Flat is a tremendous way to spend an afternoon, and Lotowana Village Resort is a fine campground nearby. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area close to Thurston Lake has to offer. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Big Sulphur Creek; Grigsby Draw is also a pleasant place to explore. For the period of the summertime at Thurston Lake temperatures are mostly in the 90's. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Thurston Lake temperatures dip to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Austin's Campground and Marina is a perfect site to camp, and lots of people from Clearlake come here.
