Yep, outdoors exciting stuff truly is plentiful here in the Klamath Mountains. Thurston Lake is not the only place close by, Pinkeye Lake is a close by lake, and you can spend the day on the beach at Indian Beach. Summertime highs at Thurston Lake usually tend to be in the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's with temperatures at Thurston Lake dipping down       into the 30's during winter nights. The amount of rainfall that falls at Thurston Lake is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is usually January, that's the one that rains the most while July is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Adams Springs Golf Course not far from Thurston Lake, and whitewater paddling is nice on Little Sulphur Creek. There's no way anybody can get bored here in                  the Klamath Mountains. Take a little journey to Thurston Creek since you're here at Thurston Lake; if you yearn for a little side tour, try Grigsby Draw. This lake is so wonderful. Austin's Campground and Marina is a magnificent campground nearby; lots of folks from Clearlake come here. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Klamath Mountains. You could also have a look at Dry Lake since you're here at Thurston Lake; it's close by. Just can't get enough of Thurston Lake. Roundtop Mountain is gorgeous and can be seen from Thurston Lake, and there are good locations to explore along the Bucknell Trail. But wait, there's more to do close to Thurston Lake. If you need a location to stay Lake Escape Resort is a wonderful choice; don't leave Thurston Lake without first going for a hike along the Middle Creek Flat Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Klamath Mountains. Going for a hike on the Cadd Fire Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and do set aside some time for Manning Flat if you're here at Thurston Lake. A pleasant close by hotel is Travelodge, and you can stay the night at Lotowana Village Resort.
