Camping is available at Park Royale Mobile Home Park, and after a long day outdoors San Francisco-Days Inn Oakland Airport/Coliseum is a fine location to spend a night or two. Shepherd Canyon is in close proximity to Thirtyninth Avenue Reservoir and is beyond doubt a great place to check out, and why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Metropolitian Golf Links.       Man, is there heaps of exciting things to do close to Thirtyninth Avenue Reservoir. Some of the water close by flows, like Palo Seco Creek, and if you're going to from San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont, you won't be the only one. Summertime highs at Thirtyninth Avenue Reservoir frequently tend to be in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 50's, and through the dark hours in the winter                  at Thirtyninth Avenue Reservoir temperatures descend to the 40's. This lake is so wonderful. Bay Breeze Inn is a good place to get some rest, and going for a hike along the Edgewood Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. You get a good view of Redwood Peak from Thirtyninth Avenue Reservoir, and one of the best things about this place is its proximity to Sandy Beach. Camping at Trailer Haven is always a nice experience, and popping by Golden Gate National Recreation Area is just something you need to do if you haven't yet.
