Take a little trip to Thibaut Creek while you're here at Thibaut Ponds, and close by you stumble on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 11 which is a great hiking trail. A brilliant spot to camp here at Thibaut Ponds is Fort Independence Campground. If you like swamps,       you're in luck, Tulare Swamp is right nearby, and the Mount Whitney Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby. At Thibaut Ponds you don’t see much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily January, that's the one that rains the most while June is frequently the driest month. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Thibaut Ponds.
