If you need a place to stay Baymont Inn & Suites Yreka is a pleasant choice. This lake is so wonderful. Salmon River is a splendid whitewater spot in the vicinity of Taylor Lake, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Tanners Peak Trail. But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Klamath Mountains. You're perhaps keen on lakes, Smith Lake is one of those close by; if the weather is splendid,       you can go for a hike along the Garden Gulch Trail. Camping at Idlewild Campground is always a great experience; you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Deacon Lee Trail. At Taylor Lake during the days of summer highs are in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Taylor Lake. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. This                  is a tremendous area for people who like lakes. Twin Lakes is a lake close at hand, and Etna Mountain is trouble-free to spot from Taylor Lake. The amount of precipitation that falls at Taylor Lake is close to the national average; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest. Taylor Lake is one of the lakes here in the Klamath Mountains.
