If you are in San Bernardino county it's always a good idea to stop by The Tarn. The Tarn is one of the lakes here in the San Bernardino Mountains. Good hiking is available along the North Fork Meadows Trail, and close by Mill Creek Jumpoff is a glorious spot to go. From a rainfall point of view The Tarn is a quite common site; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain; June is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.

| | There's so much to do here at The Tarn that you need to camp here for a while, Mission Springs Campground is a tremendous site for that; Bear Mountain is a magnificent local ski area. If you're going to The Tarn from Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario, you won't be the only one, and hiking is a popular thing to do around The Tarn; Dry Lake Trail is a great local trail. The Tarn has to offer, you can camp at Falls Recreation Area. During the days of summer at The Tarn temperatures are frequently in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. The wintertime
comes with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at The Tarn dip into the 20's. A pleasant visit to North Fork Meadows is a brilliant way to spend an afternoon. If you go for the outdoors,
you'll have a thing about The Tarn. If you need a site to stay Best Western Big Bear Lake Chateau is a nice choice, and the skiing at Snow Summit is delightful. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the San Bernardino Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Fish Creek Trail. Lakes? Sure, Dollar Lake is nearby.
