Custom Search     Tamarack Lake     Tamarack is a beautiful lake, but basically above the timber line and only accessible via a strenuous 16 mile hike (5 miles up from Bearpaw Meadow compground). You will not be doing any ''whitewater paddling'', there is no ''campground'' (you find the best flat spot you can), and don't plan to continue to Lion Lake unless you are an advanced climber (no trail from Tamarack).
