At Tamarack Lake you don’t see much rainfall; most of the snow falls throughout January, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not stop by Hoover Lakes close to Tamarack Lake; if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12. Just can't get enough of the Central Sierra Nevada. There are other spots here than Tamarack Lake, for example       Glenberry Lake, and the Gaylor Lakes Trail is a splendid hiking trail close by. Summertime at Tamarack Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Tamarack Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Paho Campground, and at Tamarack Lake you can see Crater Crest. And if that's not enough there's lots more                  amusing things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. If you came for an overnight stay Doc and Al's Robinson Creek Resort is a wonderful place to camp; Yosemite Gateway Motel is a glorious site to get some rest. So much exciting stuff right next door to Tamarack Lake, truly impressive. If you come at the right time of year, West Walker River offers some perfect whitewater; dry warm beds await you at Heidelberg Inn.
