This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Bear Valley and strap some skis to your feet, and Hellhole Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. Having a great time in the Northern Sierra Nevada is easy. Near Tamarack Lake you locate the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13 which       is a perfect hiking trail, and The Mountain Club is a nice location to get some rest. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Kirkwood, and a brilliant location to camp here at Tamarack Lake is Lower Blue Lake Campground. So much cool stuff to do at Tamarack Lake, so little time. The Burnside Lake Trail is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Tamarack Lake, and                  camping is available at Middle Creek Campground. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. You can run the rapids of Carson River - East Fork close to Tamarack Lake, and do go to Lily Pad Lake, it's a picturesque lake. This place rocks, just check out all the fun stuff to do close to Tamarack Lake. People from Gardnerville Ranchos love to come to Tamarack Lake; dry warm beds await you at The Meadow. This lake is so wonderful. Border Ruffian Flat is a nice location to check out; glorious water scenery is available at Summit Lake Dam in the neighborhood of Tamarack Lake. For the period of the summertime months here at Tamarack Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 30's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Tamarack Lake dip into the 10's.
