And that's not everything there is to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Camping is available at Silver Valley Campground, and Sword Lake is not the only location close by, Lost Lake is a close by lake. All through the summertime, highs commonly are in the 60's at Sword Lake. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's.       Throughout the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and night lows at Sword Lake during the winter generally drop into the 10's. And that's not all you can do here at Sword Lake. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Mokelumne River - North Fork, and a glorious place to camp here at Sword Lake is Niagra Campground. Sword Lake is a wet site that gets much precipitation; the month with most of the snow is January; July on the other hand is the                  driest. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the perfect skiing at Bear Valley; there's whitewater on Stanislaus River - Middle Fork for all you adrenaline people. Looking for something close to Sword Lake? Twin Meadows Lake is nearby, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13. Sword Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The Emigrant Trail is a wonderful hiking trail in the neighborhood of Sword Lake, and pleasant skiing awaits you at Dodge Ridge. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada.
