Sword Lake is a nice lake to visit. And if that's not enough there's a heap more amusing stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Stanislaus River - Middle Fork, and there's whitewater on Mokelumne River - North Fork for all you thrill seekers. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area near Sword Lake has to offer. A good place to camp here at Sword Lake is Niagra Campground, and the

| | Charity Valley Trail is a pleasant hiking trail nearby. Sword Lake is a wet site that gets much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually January, that's the one that snows the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Pinecrest Chalet is a great choice; skiing at Dodge Ridge is one of those things you just should do. The warmest time of the year brings highs in | |

the 60's to Sword Lake, and the overnight is a bit cooler of course, mostly in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Sword Lake are in the 10's. This lake is located
in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada.
Why not camp at Silver Valley Campground while you're here at Sword Lake, and if you've had enough of Sword Lake, Lost Lake is nearby. If the weather is nice here at Sword Lake, you can
go for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13, and gorgeous scenery and perfect skiing is what you get at Bear Valley. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. A glorious nearby hotel is Bear Valley Lodge, and
going for a hike along the Emigrant Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
