California has many beautiful lakes and Sunrise Lakes is one of them. The John Muir Trail - section 1 is a fine hiking trail near Sunrise Lakes; The Ahwahnee is a perfect spot to get some rest. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Central Sierra Nevada.
There is a pleasant hiking trail near Sunrise Lakes called the Clouds Rest Trail, and a delightful location to camp here at Sunrise Lakes is Porcupine Flat Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Columbia Finger is painless to spot
