     Deer Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and a brilliant site to camp here at Summit Lake is Fawn Campground. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Summit Lake. You can run the rapids of Coffee Creek next to Summit Lake; at Summit Lake you can see Gibson Peak. Summit Lake gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; most of the rain falls all through December, and July is the month with the least moisture.

   Basin, and there's great hiking along the Deacon Lee Trail. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Klamath Mountains. Summit Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Stoney Point Campground is a perfect local campground; if you get bored of Summit Lake you could also have a look at nearby Diamond Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Klamath Mountains.
The warmest time of the year at Summit Lake arrives with high temperatures
 
               in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Summit Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the wonderful whitewater of Trinity River; nearby you come across great locations like Deer Creek Pass. This place, the Klamath Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. Don't miss out on a visit to Whiskeytown National Recreation Area if you're here at Summit Lake.

Looking for a place called Coffee Creek Resort in the mid-70's.   Had a lodge and A-frame cabins, you could hike a trail up to Lake Josephine from the lodge.  Hoping it is still around now that we are back in California....
