Going for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 15 will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and why not camp at Berger Campground if you're here at Summit Lake. Summit Lake gets a typical amount of rain; the month with most of the rain is January, and July on the other hand is the driest. All the outdoors entertaining things in the Northern Sierra Nevada will keep       you coming back persistently. Lakes are fine; Little Gold Lake is a lake that's close to Summit Lake; skiing at Royal Gorge is one of those things you just must do. On a magnificent day at Summit Lake you can take a hike along the Butcher Ranch Trail; Lakes Basin is a picturesque place any time of year. Any time is a splendid time at Summit Lake if you go for the outdoors. A great site to camp here at Summit Lake is Packsaddle Campground, and whitewater paddling                  is glorious on Yuba River - North Fork. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is good here at Summit Lake, you can go for a hike along the Deer Lake Trail, and do pop by Deer Lake Dam if you're here. For the period of the summer highs here at Summit Lake get into the 90's; the nighttime is rather colder of course, ordinarily in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Summit Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Deer Lake, and after a long day outdoors Deer Creek Inn is a fine spot to spend a night or two. Summit Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
