Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's while Summit Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. During your stay at Summit Lake do go to nearby Sandy Beach, and the view of Dow Butte is striking. It is very dried up here at Summit Lake usually; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily       January, that's the one that snows the most, and the driest month is July. Man, is there lots of exciting stuff to do in the Southern Cascade Range. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. You could also visit Houseman Camp Reservoir while you're here at Summit Lake; it's close by; a lake close by is Coyote Hole. Why not camp at Prison Spring Campground if you're here at Summit Lake; one of the best things about this place is its proximity                  to Halfmoon Beach. You absolutely have to adore the Southern Cascade Range. If you fancy a little side visit, try Lower Gooch Valley; dry warm beds await you at Hotel Mt. Lassen. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Eagle Lake Recreational Vehicle Park is a nice location to camp, and you should beyond doubt dedicate some time to Coulthurst Flat if you're here at Summit Lake.
