What a nice lake Summit Lake is. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Heavenly is in the vicinity of Summit Lake, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Charity Valley Trail. Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites MINDEN is a glorious

| | choice; get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Carson River - East Fork.
Any time is a fine time at Summit Lake if you love the outdoors. If you came to camp Indian Creek Campground is a magnificent place to do that; the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13 is a good hiking trail close by. At Summit Lake you don’t see much rain; the month with most of the snow is January; July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. | |

A great nearby hotel is Best Western Minden Inn; camping at Turtle Rock Campgrounds is always a nice experience.
Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The Northern Sierra Nevada rocks! Summit Lake is not the only spot
close by, Curtz Lake is a close by lake, and lots of folks from Gardnerville Ranchos come here. At Summit Lake through the warm months highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the
winter are in the 30's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Summit Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. Some close by water includes Randall Creek, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Burnside Lake Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. You could also visit Indian Creek Reservoir if you're here at Summit Lake; it's nearby, and Kirkwood is a wonderful local ski area.
