Stay the night at Lower Blue Lake Campground; The Meadow is a good location to get some rest. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer. Wet Meadows Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could visit, and get soaked paddling on Carson River - East Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Jeff Davis Creek is a great local stream, and a lake nearby       is Lower Sunset Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There is a nice hiking trail next to Summit Lake called the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13, and Indian Valley is a wonderful site. Having a great time in the Northern Sierra Nevada is simple. On a glorious day at Summit Lake you can take a hike along the Burnside Lake Trail; magnificent skiing awaits you at Kirkwood. For the duration of the summertime months highs here at Summit Lake reach the 70's. Summer                  overnight lows plunge down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Summit Lake. Summit Lake is not far at all from Gardnerville Ranchos. Hermit Valley Campground is a pleasant campground nearby; since you're here you can take a hike along the Charity Valley Trail. Yep, outdoors amusing things to do are in fact abundant here at Summit Lake. If you need a place to stay The Mountain Club is a nice choice, and Bear Valley has great slopes and a friendly staff.
