Summertime at Summit Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and the overnight is quite chillier of course, generally in the 40's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; through the dark hours in the winter at Summit Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. River - East Fork. If you need a site to stay Tahoe Seasons Resort (Vri) is a magnificent choice, and since you're here at Summit Lake it's a perfect idea to stop at Indian Valley.
This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to
do here at Summit Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hermit Valley Campground is a wonderful location for that, and hiking along the Charity Valley Trail is glorious fun. Jeff Davis Creek is a brilliant local stream, and
if you're here you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13. Summit Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
Summit Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month with most of the snow
is January, and the driest month is July. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. Do visit Hellhole Lake near Summit Lake, it's a stunning lake, and you can have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Burnside Lake Trail.
