Day Use Campground, and there's whitewater on American River - Middle Fork for all you adrenaline junkies. The high level of precipitation makes Sugar Pine Reservoir a pretty wet site; January is the wettest month with most rain,
and July meanwhile is the driest month.
This lake is so wonderful. Near Sugar Pine Reservoir you stumble on the Euchre Bar Trail which is a good hiking trail, and if you need a location to stay Nevada City Inn is a brilliant choice.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend American River - North Fork; going for a hike on the American Eagle Trail is always a pleasant adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await
you at Deer Creek Inn.
Summertime highs at Sugar Pine Reservoir generally tend to be in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Sugar Pine Reservoir dip into the 30's.
