    The beauty of Sucker Lake is reason enough to stop by. Sucker Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. Go for a hike on the Dan East Trail, and in case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Trinity River. So much cool stuff in close proximity to Sucker Lake, completely tremendous. Lakes? Sure, Big Lake is in the vicinity, and whitewater paddling is tremendous on Trinity River.
Summer brings highs in
 
   the 90's to Sucker Lake. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are usually in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Sucker Lake are in the 30's. If you came for an overnight stay Lazy Double B Park is a splendid spot to camp, and lots of people from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna come here. Yeah, come up here to the Coast Ranges for a tremendous time. Going for a hike on the Grouse Creek Tractor Way  
               is always a glorious adventure.
Sucker Lake gets a large amount of water; the wettest month of the year is generally December, that's the one that rains the most while July is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Boise Creek Campground; nearby you locate the Grouse Creek Tractor Trail which is a fine hiking trail. All the outdoors amusing things in the Coast Ranges will keep you coming back time and again. Not far from Sucker Lake, you'll discover Dry Lake which is a wonderful lake, and Oak Knob is painless to spot from Sucker Lake.
