    If you are in this part of California make sure to pay a visit to Sucker Lake. Sucker Lake is located in the Coast Ranges. All the outdoors fun things in the Coast Ranges will keep you coming back time and again. The fine people of Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna like to hang out close by; not far from Sucker Lake you'll locate Dry Lake which is a scenic lake.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Coast Ranges. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Trinity River,
 
   and why not take a refreshing hike along the Grouse Creek Tractor Way. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Sucker Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Boise Creek Campground is a tremendous site for that, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Sucker Lake; Grouse Creek Tractor Trail is a perfect local trail. Summer at Sucker Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. The wintertime  
               brings highs down to the 50's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Sucker Lake temperatures plunge to the 30's.
Sucker Lake is right by the Dan East Trail, and if you came to camp Lazy Double B Park is a magnificent location to do that. Sucker Lake is a quite wet place mostly with a good deal of rain; during December this area sees the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the vicinity of Sucker Lake. From Sucker Lake you acquire a great sight of Oak Knob, and Trinity River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by.
